Sundance raced over the grass in the beutifull vally, her head was high and her tail sailed through the wind, as her hooves beat the ground. She Galloped with a long stride across the earth, her tail and mane flung out behind her. The sun mane her ivory mane and tail glow erily and she looked true to her name. She slowed to a trot and raised herselfe up almost vertical in the air. Her ivory daggers lashing the air, she called out, "who is the stallion who now owns this land?".

Her cry echoed around the vally many times over again. She alighted once again on all fores, her head raised high and her tail flung out at an eligant angle, she scanned the vally for him. As her eyes skaned the land scape, she thought of Amanecer and wondered how she would cope with the new stallion. She wondered if she would even see the mare again. She sighed and tossed her head in anoyance.

Her proud stature was outlined in the horizon as a hawk sored above her she looked up at him as he passed then back to the plains to wait.

Amanecer snorted with surprise as a clear call rang out, inhaling some fine dirt by accident from the sparse grass she had been grazing upon and coughing to clear her airways. Tossing her banner once the fit had passed she raised her dial, dappled light flashing over her as she looked about the small clearing she stood in, flanked by dense bush.

She thrashed her banner, whipping her flanks with the movement. She recognized the voice and wished to go see her friend but she was reluctant to chance meeting the new king of this Terra. She’d only stayed here because of the odd chance she’d find Sundance again, though she’d implemented every ounce of her underdeveloped skills at stealth and camouflage to stay hidden.

She shivered her wither as yet another mozzy perched upon her, the buggers were getting more persistent the farther into the warmer months they got. She tossed her head, removing her dark forelock from her whiskey eyes. Still this may be her only chance of meeting up with Sundance again, and if she did run into the Lord then at least her friend would be there.
Pawing the ground in a decisive gesture she strode forward, her long slender legs eating up the ground. Initially she had to alternatively force and weave her way through the dense bush she’d worked her way into before she came out into the wider spaced snow gums. Now she weaved fluently and freely between the white trunks, some inner innate aptitude allowing her to move as a ghost, placing her delicate hooves with barely a thought she left no trail except for maybe the occasional snapped twig or print.

Eventually she reached the edge of the cover she stood in, and peered out into the clearing at her snowy white friend. The sight of both Sundance and the eagle soaring above her gave Amanecer a wash of courage and she whickered loudly before pushing off into a rolling canter, leaving the safety of the trees with nary a thought. Her hooves thudded hollowly on the turf as she moved towards Sundance, her own caramel dappled hide glowing with health along her slender curves. She arched her nape into a natural curve and brought her knees up high with each stride, throwing in a few flying lead changes as she’d been taught simply as the whim took her.

Went up the cry, resonating with a hateful presence across the plain. A large black stallion appeared, as if out of nowhere. He thundered across the open terra with gigantic ground-eating strides. Heels flew up into the air as he showed off his beautiful, strong frame. Coming close to the mares, he slowed his pace to a trot, cooling off a little. Finally coming down to a walk, he paced up to them, and stopped moving. His pelt was covered with a slight sweat from the heat of the sun and the amount of energy he had to expend. His breathing was hard, but he was getting it under control quickly.

Present.

He said, his voice deeply handsome and rolling. Banner twitched, heart beat slowing back to normal.

Sundance turned her elagent head to the forest where a familiar figure stood there. She let out a cry of amazement as the two met; "Amanecer I thought I'd never sea you again!" She nuzzled her gently and smiled with joy and releif. She raised her head and looked into her eyes. Amanecer was helthyer than when she had last seen her; she was know longer gaunt but filled out and eligant.

She thought of the new stallion, and wondered how Amanecer would cope. But she pushed the thought aside and joy flowed through her body as she wisked her taled around her bod y in shear joy. Just as the thought flashed through her mind a big brute came up to them she glanced nurvously at Amanecer. Then trotted up to the stud ivory thorns pricked she said with a snort "well who are you?" Her question rang out over the valley as she glance back at Amanecer.

Amanecer returned the nuzzle tenderly, flaring her nostrils to reacquaint herself with the white mare’s scent. “The thought was mutual.” She responded in kind with her vibrant tones. “But oh it is good to see you” She told Sundance the timbre of her voice deepening a notch with affection.

But then as she felt her long tensed muscles relax in the presence of one she trusted she heard the unmistakable tread of a large four-legged, hoofed animal. Her head whipped around on her neck, rich brandy colored eyes flaring with fear as she observed him thunder towards them. Damn he’s big, not good. she thought with apprehension shimmering down her spine. Not good, not good. Not. Good.

She balked a little as Sundance pushed past her and actually approached the male. For a moment she was frozen with awe at her courage but then shaking the feeling she cautiously approached behind her good friend, keeping the bulk of Sundance between herself and the lead stud. Sun shimmered over her sleek body, built for speed and grace rather than strength. Her lithe muscles, long and sturdy like a dancers, moved fluently beneath her dappled hide despite her nervous step. She stopped as Sundance did, careful to keep her between them. Her petite ears flickered restlessly and her tail swished with the slightest susurration across her hocks with its movement. The delicate skin around her muzzle tightened slightly as Sundance demanded his name, a mare’s challenge to a stallion ringing in her vocals. Please keep us safe. She pleaded to no particular deity, figuring that whomever –if there was anything at all- was listening would catch the message. Her slender form shivered as the eagles piercing cry cracked through the valley, bringing with it all the freedom and sadness of a solitary existence.

The sunshine spilled over her snow white coat. To the piont that it was almost dazzling. Sundance lifted her head her eyes chalanging the stallion. He was a fresion, or at least she suposed so. He looked like one anyway, his mane was curly and he was big and drafty, feathers entirely covered his hooves. She looked bachk at Amanecer and nuzzled her as if to say 'its ok if he's stayed silent this long he's probably dum as a post'. Her eyes flashed as she looked back at the stallion.

Her eyes traviled over him again, she felt Amanecer shiver beside her and pressed her body confortingly against the mare. She acsamined the stallion more closly 'darn he's big' she thought 'now why did I have to be hear when he challenged bane?' But she was not worried, she had speed on her side and the whole world to live in. She had never bean outside this vally much, but she had once or twice. She would explore the whole world if she had to run. She did not want to, but she would if she had to, she was not pridefull, but she would fight to the last breath for her freind, Amanecer. There was a certain air about her that expressed determination, but it could not let itself out it was trapped in her.

A strong wind flew over the land, and tossed her ivory banner into the air. The hawk soured above her and spiraled down to a branch. After that everything went deadly quiet.
